VCS Reopening Virtually on January 6 - January 12

Unfortunately, COVID-19 continues to dictate our mode of operation. Based on information the district received on December 30, highlighting COVID-19 cases in our area being at an all-time high, Valdosta City Schools has decided to reopen on January 6, with 100% virtual learning for all students until January 12.

Food Finder

With the holiday break approaching, some students may face food insecurity while away from their school buildings. FoodFinder is a mobile and web app created by a graduate of Georgia public schools that allows families to find food distribution sites (including food pantries, drive-through distributions, and school meal providers) based on their location.
The app is free, not-for-profit, and available in the following locations:

Valdosta City Schools has been monitoring our total number of quarantined and positive cases since our return from the Thanksgiving break. We have noticed a significant increase in our numbers and out of an abundance of caution we will be moving to 100% virtual learning for all students. This means that all students will be learning from home through Google Classroom. Our schools will have early dismissal on Friday, December 11.
