Computer Construction Zone Camp

For the fifth year, Mr. Richard Smith, Newbern's Engineering and Technology teacher will teach students current workplace skills by taking apart/replace and refurbishing computers donated by Valdosta State University. Once they get them fully working they take them home for free! To sign up and for more information, go to WWW.valdosta.edu/steamcenter. It's for students in fifth through eighth grade. District Parent and Family Engagement Plan 2019-2020

In support of strengthening student academic achievement, the Valdosta City Schools (VCS) has developed this Parent and Family Engagement Plan that establishes the district’s expectations and objectives for meaningful family engagement and guides the strategies and resources that strengthen school and parent partnerships in the district’s Title I schools. This plan will describe VCS’s commitment to engage families in the education of their children and to build the capacity in its Title I schools to implement family engagement strategies and activities designed to achieve the district and schools’ student academic achievement goals.

Newbern's 2nd Annual Education Day

J.L Newbern is calling out the entire community to celebrate our love for education. We will have free food, music, community partners, and vendors.
